VMware PKS (also known as "VMware Pivotal Container Service" and "VMware Essential PKS") is a Kubernetes platform for simplifying the deployment and operations of Kubernetes-based container services. VMware PKS uses deployment systems such as BOSH and Pivotal Ops Manager for seamless management of containerized infrastructures.

The proprietary version of the software is "VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition" (previously known as "VMware Enterprise PKS"). This course can be adapted for either the open source or proprietary version.

This instructor-led, live training (online or onsite) is aimed at system administrators and developers who wish to install, configure, monitor, and manage Kubernetes-based environments through VMware PKS (formerly named Pivotal Container Service).

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Install VMware PKS components and tools.
  • Deploy with BOSH and Pivotal Ops Manager.
  • Integrate PKS with VMware Harbor capabilities.
  • Manage and monitor infrastructures and applications using VMware tools.

Format of the Course

  • Interactive lecture and discussion.
  • Lots of exercises and practice.
  • Hands-on implementation in a live-lab environment.
