The course is only suitable for those who have already attended the SharePoint Foundation 2010 Level I course. Familiarity with basic Windows server concepts, the basic concepts of coding and scripting and Internet Information Server (IIS) is recommended but not required.

Overview

 

This 2 day course gives an introduction to the management and administration of Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010, the free solution for organisations that need a secure, manageable, web-based collaboration platform. Use SharePoint to coordinate schedules, organise documents and participate in discussions through team workspaces, blogs, wikis and document libraries.
 
The delegate will manage site collections and site components as a site collection administrator and as a site administrator.
 
The course takes the format of a workshop, with a mix of lecture, working examples and practical exercises. Full course notes are provided.
 
Supported Operating Systems
 
Production systems should use Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2008 SP2. For development purposes it can be installed on Windows 7 and Windows Vista SP2.
