The course is suitable for those who have some knowledge of Sharepoint as well as those who are using Sharepoint for the first time. Previous experience with Microsoft Office 2010 and a web browser such as IE7 is desirable but not essential.

Overview
This course provides an introduction to Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010, the free solution for organisations that need a secure, manageable, web-based collaboration platform. Use SharePoint to coordinate schedules, organise documents and participate in discussions through team workspaces, blogs, wikis and document libraries.
You will learn to use, create and edit content in a team website and also create and perform basic management of a team site.
The course takes the format of a workshop, with a mix of lecture, working examples and practical exercises. Full course notes are provided.
Supported Operating Systems
Production systems should use Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2008 SP2. For development purposes it can be installed on Windows 7 and Windows Vista SP2.
